Joanne started off her career as an actor, training at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Since leaving all those years ago, she has had a full and varied career in TV, film, theater, radio, and voiceovers. Recently her love of film and storytelling, especially within the Horror/Thriller Genre, have led her to focus more on writing, producing, and now directing. To date, five feature films that she has co-produced and co-written have had worldwide sales and distribution: Bait, Before Dawn, Wolf Manor, Evie, and Attack of the Adult Babies.

All films played at global international film festivals and gained multi territorial releases, both physically and VOD. With runs on Netflix and Hulu. Currently all films are on Amazon Prime and ltunes. Joanne has now directed two short films: Sybil, and The Outing (the latter is currently screening on the International festival circuit). In 2017 Joanne was nominated and a finalist in Screen International and FrightFest's Rising Star of the genre.

Broken Bird is Joanne's directorial feature film debut. She is thrilled to have been given this incredible opportunity and to work alongside some wonderful filmmakers on the Catalyst slate.
